ALPB Craft Tutorial: Macrame Keyring

To accompany your craft kit.

Step One:

Always keep your middle two strands together.

Step Two:

Lay the furthest left strand over the top of the others in a 4 shape

Step Three:

Bring the furthest right strand forward so its laying on top of the 4.

Step Four:

Take the same strand and pull the end up through the middle of the 4 shape.

Step Five

Pull all the strands to tighten  and create your first half of your square knot.

Step Six:

Make a backwards 4 shape with the furthest right strand.

Step Seven:

Bring the furthest strand forward so its laying on top of the 4.

Step Eight:

Take the same strand and pull the end up through the middle of the backwards 4 shape.

Step Nine:

Pull all the strands to tighten and create a square knot.

Step Ten:

Continue your pattern by repeating steps 1-9 until you reach the end of your strands
